Audition
Speech Workshop

One
day workshop concentrating mainly on your audition
speech. The course includes:
- help choosing the right audition speech
- preparing the piece
- work on confident audition presentations
- and much more
On
this day there will be some warm ups and group work, but we
will mainly concentrate on exactly what makes an audition speech
work, as well as what will best suit you as an individual. We
suggest you bring two well prepared peices; one modern and one
classical. Classical pieces should be Shakespeare, Marlowe,
etc. You will get constructive feedback as well as suggestions
to new pieces where appropriate.
What
do I need to bring?
- Two prepared contrasting pieces, one modern, one classical
(2 minutes max. each)
- It is also helpful to bring any additional pieces that you
may have, copied in duplicate.
- Paper and pen
- a bottle of water
Wear
clothing you feel comfortable working in. The day will involve
some movement work.
